About Our Clinic

Rhea County Volunteers in Medicine is a grassroots effort established by concerned community members.

The Rhea County VIM clinic opened to patients in February 2010. We are serving patients to our greatest capacity, but we are greatly in need of both material and financial donations.

If you or someone you know would like to support our mission by providing supplies or equipment, please contact us. Financial support is also greatly needed. Checks may be mailed to the address on the right, or you may use the “Donate” button to donate online.

We are also in need of more volunteers to work in the clinic, including volunteers without medical training; see the Volunteer Form on this page.

Volunteers in Medicine is the only national nonprofit dedicated to assisting communities in the development of free health care clinics for the uninsured.  To read more about the national Volunteers in Medicine program, please visit their website at http://www.volunteersinmedicine.org/.  For a list of Volunteers in Medicine clinics in other locations, please visit http://www.volunteersinmedicine.org/alliances.shtml .
